I don’t understand why we have to “defend” anyone. Celebrities are grown ass people who have made the decision to put themselves out there in social media knowing full well that they’re not going to be liked by everyone.

Neither Nina nor Ian have to look at their mentions, asks, comments, etc. It’s a choice they make and they’ve both been involved with social media long enough to know what they may find when they decide to interact with fans.

I repeat: Nina and Ian don’t see the hate unless they go looking for it.

I also don’t think it does Nina much good for us as fans to act like she’s a china doll with delicate feelings that haveto be protected while tossing Ian aside because he’s a guy and he’s older than her. As someone who loves them both, I can safely say that they BOTH get an unfair and ridiculous amount of hate. I mean, do you pay attention to what Nina posts? That girl is wicked snarky and so much stronger than I feel so many people give her credit for. She doesn’t need to be coddled any more than Ian does.

Forget trends and going after the haters. If you want Nina and Ian to know that you support them, ignore the assholes and spread some love in their mentions, asks, comments, etc and don’t give the assholes a second thought.

The only people you’re helping by worrying about hateful people are the hateful people. They’re never going to go away or stop and Nina and Ian aren’t going to see your effort in championing them to these wastes of Internet space.

You stole his wife—Tell me something, love…
